Part 2: Side and Back Panels of the Label

In Part 1 of this series,we talked about why we have a label. Beyond just looking good on a shelf, a label helps establish product identity and brand recognition while staying compliant with FDA guidelines. 

Now let’s look at what’s actually on the label and why each part matters.

The side panel consists mostly of what we call our "claims" or "callouts". These speak specifically to the product and formula, rather than the brand. It also includes the ingredient panel or Supplement Facts,which we’ll cover more in-depth during the next Quality Corner since it deserves a full breakdown.

The back panel includes directions of use, our website, and our Customer Service phone number.It also has key regulatory information like warnings, how to store the product, and the FDA disclaimer; all of which are mandatory and regulated heavily by the FDA. Without this information, we could get a warning letter instructing us to update our labels or we could even be subject to a fine. 

Lastly, all Focus Vitamins supplements are proudly made in the USA. You’ll see this noted on several of our labels as part of our commitment to quality and transparency.
