WHAT TO LOOK FOR
While focusing on the center dot, check for:
- Wavy or distorted lines
- Blurry or missing areas
- Dark or empty spots
- Changes in line spacing or shape
These changes may indicate alterations in central vision, which can be associated with conditions affecting the macula and retina, including age-related macular degeneration.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
- This tool does not diagnose any eye disease
- It does not replace a professional eye exam
- It may not detect all early retinal changes
- Normal results do not guarantee healthy vision
WHEN TO SEEK CARE
Contact an eye doctor immediately if you notice:
- New distortion in central vision
- Sudden blur or missing areas
- Difficulty reading or recognizing faces
- Any rapid change in vision
Early evaluation is critical in conditions affecting the retina, such as age-related macular degeneration.
